Chapter 211

FEYRE

I land on my feet. It takes a second for everything to go back to normal and I feel grounded.

I regain feeling in every part of me at once and the pain shoots down my spine. I shake it off and growl.

Looking around me, I try to decide where to follow that will be more discreet and lead me towards the exit. I scout for cameras but don't find any so I just run and take the right turn. Again, I stop and look around. When I see no sign of life, I keep going forward.

I'm about to take the last turn that will lead me toward the front of the building when I hear something that makes me stop in my tracks. Awareness rolls through me, the feeling of being watched annoys my wolf.

"We're being tracked," Maya growls. "Someone's eyes are crawling on us."

“What do we do?” I mutter aloud, turning my head slowly, trying not to make sudden movements.
