"What the fuck is this?" I snapped at the man I trusted with my life.

"Saw her in their little rescue ground and I had to see if she was as gullible as she looked. She is." he chuckles lowly. "Told her we were coming to save you and she came running like the perfect little Robinhood to save her lover."

"If you hurt a hair on her—"

"Save it," he cuts me off. "There is something I want you to see." He pushes her forward.

Feyre's eyes remain on me, anger swirling in them. I couldn't tell what it was for, her being tricked or the entire situation.

"We don't have time to waste, so before the man we are all expecting comes here, I'll help you all with a little backstory." He nods to me. "Starting with you. The alpha king hasn't been seen for over two centuries, you think the council will send a new alpha to kill him? You are good, but not that good."
