Chapter 39
ALPHA ZADE
"I am not having this conversation." I shove his face so he is facing the dash and not me. We look like a teenage couple arguing and I can't have that.
He moves my hand from his face and glares at me.
"What are you going on about?" he asks again, this time sounding impatient.
"I said I'm not having this conversation so drop it." I reply through gritted teeth.
I start the engine again, he is smart not to turn it off. He knows I only have so much will to deal with his shit. I drive in silence and though I can hear him seething, he doesn't try to break the silence either.
We drive for a few more minutes in the tension-thick air, the only sound coming from the low hum of the engine and the occasional tap of Dylan’s fingers against the door.
