Chapter 70. No Drinking

The people present at the dinner were all famous in South City, but Amber only knew a few of them. Rodney and Kelsey sat by the window. When Rodney saw Elliot and Amber enter, he swept his eyes past them indifferently and continued talking to Kelsey.

Seeing Elliot with Amber, someone immediately teased him, “Mr. Thomson, is this your new girl?”

Elliot glared at him and hissed, “Hey, watch it. This isn’t my new girl; she’s my fiancée, Amber!”

“Fiancée?” Elliot’s words attracted everyone’s attention. Rodney was holding a cup and drinking tea with a smile on his face, but his eyes darkened when he heard Elliot. Was Elliot serious?

“Well, she really is beautiful. Mr. Thomson, you’re so lucky!” someone praised.

“Of course. I only like a pretty and talented woman.” Elliot was very proud.

Amber scowled at him. Elliot pulled out the chair and said, “Take a seat, my dear!”<
