Chapter 86. There’s Something Wrong

After hanging up the phone, Celia looked at Shannon and said, “Mom, Rodney sounded weird; it seems like something’s wrong!”

“Don’t worry. Tell him the truth. Channing will be responsible for anything that happens,” Shannon said dismissively.

“But I’m still worried,” Celia replied in doubt.

“Don’t be scared. I’ll take care of everything for you.” Shannon had a sinister smile. “That little b*tch wants to have Rodney? In her dreams! Rodney is yours. I won’t just turn her and Rodney into strangers; I’ll make sure they become enemies!”

Hearing Shannon’s words, Celia felt relieved and headed out to meet Rodney.

Rodney’s expression looked incredibly livid. “I have something to ask you!”

“What’s the matter?” Celia spoke in a meek voice, attempting to elicit sympathy in Rodney. She and Shannon had already thought of all the possible situations and came up with countermeasur
