Chapter 18. His Wife

A Few Days Ago

Inside a spacious apartment, a man was sitting elegantly on a large sofa facing the floor-to-ceiling window that overlooked the large swimming pool on the other side of his house. 

His handsome face was bathed in the light, and he wore a calm expression while browsing through his phone.

He made a call, which went through immediately, and a cheerful voice was heard from the other side.

"Son, you finally remembered mummy. When will you come back?" The other person asked, happiness evident in her voice.

"Mum, you know I like it here in City M," Jack whined to his mom with a gloomy expression. 

Since he came back to this city, his mom had been asking him this same question every time he called her. 

Although all his father's companies were here in City M, they had moved to a nearby city twenty-three years ago.&
