Chapter 45. The Project

Carl was heading towards his bedroom. His brows creased into a frown when he heard the doorbell ringing, and he wondered if it was his assistant that came back.

He changed his direction and sauntered to the living room then pressed a remote at the center table.

Shortly after, Zach's voice was heard from the doorway. "Big bro, why are you still up?" he asked expectantly and strode toward Carl.

Carl's frown deepened as he watched his brother walking toward him and thought he should be the one asking that question while still wondering why he was here.

"Big bro, did something happen? why was David looking anxious earlier?" Zach asked eagerly and stood in front of his brother.

Carl went and sat on the couch and realized that his brother was there for gossip. He looked at the wall clock then turned to the intruder standing beside him. It looked like his brother had free time.

"Follow me to the company tomorrow," Carl said nonchalantly and stood up then
