DRAVEN

This, perhaps, had to be the easiest chase I ever gave. I had him on the ground in a second, my arms pressing against his neck on the hard floor. I smashed my fist into his face, once, twice, and a third time until blood poured from his nose. He struggled beneath me, but his efforts to escape where futile.

“Where is she?” I growled at him. I could worry about how the fuck he managed to get into the palace without my knowledge later. Right now, all I wanted was to see her. To know that she was okay, and he’d not laid a finger on her.

“I do-n’t know what yo-u are talking about,” he choked.
