ESMERAY

By the next day, I had made up my mind on what to do. I took a fresh shower, washed my hair and put on a particular lingerie he’d complimented once. I covered myself in a robe and waited for him. I was not sure if he was going to come home or not, and I was not going to call his office phone to find out. But I made up my mind that if he didn’t get home by nightfall, I’d go to his office with hopes to find him there.

I was feeling unusually nervous, so I picked up a book and started to flip through it. Seconds turned to minutes, minutes to hours, and frustration started to kick in.
