“He left my mom and me in Chrysoverse when I was only two years old. Mom always said Chrysoverse didn’t work well for him, so he was busy with work, moving from city to city. And when he finally found another city to settle down in, he would come back for us. He never did,” Delilah explained.
She let out a gentle sigh, then continued, “After the storm, a few soldiers and I survived. But our happiness didn’t last. We were separated again after they all turned into vicious monsters. When I woke up in Terra-Zeldra, my father was standing beside my bed. He had so much love and care in his eyes, but little did I know I was going to end up being a guinea pig for his science experiments.”
“Wow, that’s a lot!” Ethan replied with a sigh. “Why didn’t you tell me this sooner?” he asked.
“Because I didn’t want to think about that man anymore. I wanted all my memories of him left behind in Terra-Zeldra. He’s a monster,” Delilah replied as tears gathered in her eyes.
