“What happened here?” Delilah asked as they all walked into the city, their eyes moving around curiously and their minds wondering what could have turned Melevola into what it is today.

“As you can see, the city is in disarray and covered in nothing but darkness and misery. The only good we have here is what we ourselves are surviving on,” Goodwill said.

Kathrin walked to Ethan’s side and asked, “Do you feel that?”

“Yeah, some kind of dangerous dark energy. It’s similar to ours but with a lot more malice,” he replied softly.

“Hey, what happened here?” Ethan asked Goodwill. They continued walking through the city, and after a few minutes, they arrived at a bar.

“What drink would you like to have?” Goodwill asked.

“I’m sorry, I don’t take alcohol. I’m still too young for that stuff,” Ethan replied respectfully. Goodwill nodded, picked up the glass the waitress had placed on the counter, and raised it to his lips.

As he gulped down its contents
