Chapter 60
[Melevola]
A woman sat deep inside a cave, located on the outskirts of Melevola. It was pitch black, but she could see in it just fine.
She winced as she tore off her dress to wrap around her torso, which was cut open by one of her prey.
“I wasn’t careful,” she scolded herself. One admirable thing about prey was that they would do anything to get out of the grip of their predators.
This was something predators had instinctively, and so they either caught their prey cautiously or quickly, but anything in between could give the prey enough time or consciousness to act fast on an escape.
This was something Myriad had to learn for years, or she would starve.
Myriad was such a weird name, but she never questioned it. Considering the fact that she was born to weird parents, such eccentricity was expected.
It was a word that meant infinite, or countless, of a great multitude, and Myriad had no idea why they chose it.
