Jax’s POV

“Please don’t tell me that the Council at Dragon Land has gone rouge too,” Mom said as she rubbed her temples while frowning.

“What did Claire say?” I asked my mom as I pulled Zara in my lap in Mom’s office.

“That little bitch really is a pain in the ass,” Mom muttered, making Zara chuckle.

“She is but she is unhinged too. However, I am glad that after this incident, two positive outcomes came out- first, that her poison caused the warming of my eggs without hurting them and secondly, that the Dragon Land Council came under our radar,” Zara cheerfully claimed.
