Joy’s POV

Now that I thought back about it, everything seemed to make more sense.

Every thought, every word, every action- all of them summed up to the same thing. Betrayal. Lies. Deceit.

My eyes stung with tears as I ran through the forest and tried to make it to my dorm in one piece. My body suddenly felt a haven of stress and something felt utterly wrong.

However, the only wrong that I could feel was the betrayal and not the blood dripping down my thighs.

Hybrid pups grew faster than werewolf pups, which in turn grew even faster than normal human embryos.

Extreme stress triggered a miscarriage and before I knew it, I had lost both- my lover and my pup in one day!
