“You mean the stone we protect with our lives is fake?!” Lucan asked in shock.

“Yes, exactly and Zoe is the key to defend it further which she knows,” Victor threw a knowing look towards me.

“Why did you reject Grandma Lisa if you loved her?” Zarek suddenly asked.

“After my brother’s ghastly act, I knew I could not protect her as I was tied to my mother’s death wish. So, I forced myself to do that. It literally killed me but I did so because I loved her even though it killed my wolf,” he said as grief passed over his face once again.
