Chapter 32. Calm Before the Storm

Zoe’s POV

I woke up with a slight headache and slowly fluttered open my eyes to look out of the window.

It was still dark and dawn was going to break out soon as I say a few stray rays of light simmering from the sun.

I sat up on my bed and suddenly felt my throat parch in thirst.

I grabbed the bottle at the side of my bed and gulped down its contents in one go.

“Damn! That’s not water,” I said as I gulped another round of the sweet, addicting nectar.

“Relax kitten! Take it easy,” a soft sexy voice chuckled.

I squinted my eyes towards the direction of the voice and recognized the familiar, well-built outline of my gorgeous mate, Valen who must have fallen asleep in the chair while taking care of me throughout the night.<
