Nikolai POV

When I slip back into King’s room, Alyssa’s still naked and asleep, bundled up in the covers. I hate to wake her up when she hasn’t had enough to sleep, but Gray’s demanding we be there in an hour.

“Sweet girl, wake up,” I whisper, leaning down to kiss her shoulder as I gently pull the covers away from her body.

She mumbles something incoherent, rolls over, and pulls the covers back up. The sound of her soft snoring makes me chuckle. “C’mon, baby,” I urge quietly, trailing my fingers along her smooth skin. “We really need to get moving. Your brother is an impatient asshole.”

Hmm. Maybe she needs more motivation.
