Bella’s POV

It’s been five minutes since I and Black went inside Sofia’s ward. We waited for her nurse to finish what she was doing as we sat not far away from Sofia’s bed.

“Please don’t stress yourself too much ma’am.” The nurse said before she said something again. Two minutes later, the three of us were left inside the room.

Looking at how Sofia’s bright eyes before turned to something that I didn’t believe would’ve replaced it made my heart felt a slight weight of something bothersome. I admit that her eyes are one of the reason why I was attracted to her before, when I was still doubting my gender orientation, yet seeing how it lost its light saddened me.

“B-Bella, I wish to speak with you alone.” Sofia’s weak voice made me lift my head.

I slowly met Black’s grey eyes before nodding. “Black, can you please go out first?”

His forehead frowned. “Why? I want to know her reasons as well and you—”

“Please love?”
