Chapter 101

Camille’s POV

The maids had cleaned up the rooms for I and my aunt and we settled in, freshening up and dressing up for the night. I hadn’t seen Miss Clara yet, she was the one I missed the most with my friend Ivy. I know she will scold me and I prepared myself for it. But this one she didn’t come out when I came, was she still here or did something happen.

I sat down on Aiden’s bed, which was now mine, thinking. I looked around the room, memories coming back to me in a flash. If only things were better, he will be here and everyone will be happy but I don’t care anymore, it’s better this way. After some time, I stood up in my night dress, making my way downstairs to search for Miss Clara.

I headed to the kitchen and saw her there, busy with the food she was preparing. I guess that will be what we eat for dinner. I missed her cooking.
