Chapter 21
The aura in the estate here gets pretty cool and awful but seeing my daughter walk towards me with her arms spread wide is enough to add color to my day. She's been in her room since morning because of her illness. Now the time is 11:04 AM. She should have been in school since 8 AM.
I placed a call on the school management telling her the condition she was in. Louise loves school so much, more than all the kids I've been hired to take care of but illness won't let her fulfill her dream.
I smile seeing her run towards me.
“Mom, I thought I'll wake up to find you in my room. It was so lonely and then I was hearing noises towards my room. I felt like my first mom was talking to me.”
I lower my face towards hers. My eyes get dim as I stare deep into her, grabbing her by the arms. She jerks back in fright, I can see it so clearly on her face.
“What did that just mean?” I demand to know, she hasn't tried shifting away
