Chapter 79. Dinner Surprise

Genevieve’s POV

"Which friend is this and when did you meet him?" I asked mum. We were in the car and she was driving us towards her supposed friend’s house.

"We met when you went on that trip," she replied, her eyes fixated on the road.

"Where did you meet him?" I inquired. These questions have been on my mind since yesterday when she informed me about it but she suddenly got an urgent phone call and she had to leave.

"When I went out because the house was boring without you. There were two of them and they were so nice to me. When they found out that I was new to this pack, they told me everything I needed to know about the pack," she explained.

I stared at her without blinking. I wanted to see if there was a change in her facial expression while she spoke about him. This was completely new. After dad’s death, she never spoke about a man in this way.

"Are you talking about a man?" I asked
