Nolan’s POV

My feet were stuck to the ground and I couldn’t move an inch as I watched Genevieve leap into the air to attack Owen. It felt like my mind was paralyzed and I couldn’t think of anything or a solution to help Owen out. What my mind was trying to process was that Genevieve was a black wolf who was now trying to kill her mate. How was she a black wolf? I’ve only heard stories about them and they’ve gone into extinction.

According to the stories I heard from my father while we were still on good terms, black wolves were evil back when they were just created. I didn’t know the full story but from what happened in history books, they caused chaos and unrest wherever they went. Their urge to kill and destroy was second to none. Most of them were killed and others were outcasted from the werewolf race which made them go into extinction. So, how was this possible? I snapped out of my trance when I heard Owen groan after being knocked out on the floor.
