Chapter 114. Close to Despair
He looked at the hot tea that Anna brought him and then took a sip. It felt like everything reminded him of Winona, even though he had tried hard to forget her by working hard.
Even stopping for a cup of tea made Richard feel the pain in his chest again. Winona’s departure was months ago, but it felt like just yesterday. Richard had been avoiding the sea for months now to get his mind back on work, but still, every time he stopped, he would think about it again.
“Damn it!” Richard shouted, hitting his desk.
He decided to finish his work for the day and turned off his computer. Richard stretched his tight muscles and tried to forget the image of Winona. He sighed and stood up, walking towards his room.
