Chapter 61. I'm Not the Culprit!

Selena's heart seemed to want to stop hearing what Gio was saying. "My uncle? Are you sure that person is my uncle?"

"Yes."

Selena's body suddenly went limp. "Can I see him? I'm sure that person is not my uncle!"

"Let's hope I'm wrong, Selena."

Selena followed Gio as he led her to confront the perpetrator. They headed to Mr. Zidant's office. That's where Selena saw Mr. Zidant, a man she hadn't seen all day.

Beside Mr. Zidant was Doctor Emly, a woman who had been with Mr. Zidant frequently lately.

"Hello, my dear niece."

Selena, who had been lost in thought, suddenly paid attention upon hearing that voice. She turned to the source of the voice and her body tensed when she saw her uncle in the room.

"Uncle, your face!" Selena was shocked to see her uncle with bruises, and she was sure he had been beaten.

"It's okay. Uncle is fine, even though that man over there hit me. But Uncle is fine."
