Monica looked all around her, her eyes wide with curiosity. She was laying on a hospital bed, still unable to believe she was already in her eighth month. "I'm still not used to being in a hospital." Monica said, her gaze unsure. "Still feels off."

"It's just a regular checkup." Steven said, giving Monica's soft hand a reassuring squeeze. "It'll all be over in just a month."

Moments later, a doctor walked in, a wide smile on her face as she stood in front of Steven and Monica. "I hear that the baby is due in just a few weeks." The doctor said, flashing Steven and Monica a confident smile. "Congrats to the happy couple!"

"Oh, we're not..." Monica said, unlinking her fingers from Steven's, chuckling nervously.

"Yeah, we're not... we're not really a couple." Steven said, his gaze travelling awkwardly between the doctor and Monica.
