Chapter 3
Monica's eyes widened as Steven approached her, a gentle look on his face. Her bedroom was dim, but she could easily see every part of Steven's face. Her gaze slowly drifted towards his bright, blue eyes, watching them shimmer under the faint moon light pouring in through the open window. "Steven, what are you doing here?" She asked, a small smile forming on her face.
"I was wrong, Monica. I was wrong about everything." He said, taking a few steps towards Monica, his gaze never leaving hers.
"What are you talking about?" She asked, a twinkle in her eyes as she took Steven's larger hands in hers.
"I was wrong about what I said. That night we had..." Steven took a deep breath, a warm smile forming on his face, sending shivers down Monica's spine. "It was something special. It wasn't a drunk mistake, it was fate."
