Chapter 22

"You didn't have to go through all these" Topaz said as they sat down to have dinner while waiting for the chef to prepare their meal.

" I would do anything to make you happy Topaz, I promised you and that's what I'm going to do," he said.

" It's beautiful," Topaz said staring at the large diamond ring Adams had a slit in her middle finger. " Is that why you were so busy lately?" she asked.

" Yes, I'm sorry I wasn't around lately, I didn't want to ruin the surprise and I wanted everything to go on perfectly," he said taking her hand in his and giving it a gentle rub.

"I was so mad at you and worried at the same time. I thought you were avoiding me on purpose" she said.

" I'm sorry for putting you through all that stress tiger," he said. She blushed.

" Stop calling me that," she said jokingly.

" Why? Don't you like it?" he asked.

" Well, would you like it if I give you a nickname too?"

" If it's from you then I don't mind," he sai
