Chapter 24

Adams couldn't hold his displeasure with the sight in front of him as he walked over to the table and stood beside Topaz not taking his eyes off the blonde guy who was sitting across her. He didn't know what that guy told her that she didn't even notice his presence.

" Can you enlighten me on whatever is making you laugh?" He said acknowledging his presence. That was the moment Topaz turned around and saw him.

" Oh hi Adams, I didn't notice you walk in," she said.

Adams? Adams? She didn't even call him babe or honey or even a sweet name to acknowledge that he was her husband, Adams thought. Who was this dude?

" Oh, you must be Mr Anderson, nice to meet you. I'm Jake" the blonde said as he rose to his feet to give Adams a handshake when Topaz added " He's the one I told you about who helped me get the camera" Adams didn't return the handshake as he glared at Jake, then he asked Topaz " What is he doing here then? Isn't he supposed to be at work?"

" Ummm
