Jade eyed Adams while smirking and he couldn't help but wonder what was amusing her. Why was she in town anyway?

" What are you doing in town Jade?" he asked.

" Oh don't be so grumpy because I came in between your show." she teased.

" Speak before I kick you out," he said and Jade let out a laugh.

" You're so hilarious, Adams. I just came to check on some few things that are all," she said but Adams didn't believe her. He knew Jade too well she could never come here to ' check on some few things as she said.

" You're lying," he said.

" Well if you don't believe me then it's fine. I just decided to pass by and say hi to you. Now I'm taking my leave." she said and got up to leave.

" Why don't you stay for dinner? Topaz is making something delicious," he said.
