Chapter 23

Haley’s POV

While we were eating, I discovered that she had even gained an appetite and that was good.

"What? Don't look like me like that! I am eating for two," she said, making me chuckle.

"I am not looking at you badly. I am just happy," I told her truthfully and she smiled.

"I am so tired," she complained.

"Don't worry, after this we are leaving," I said.

"Are you sure that you really want to go back to that house right now?" She asked worriedly.

"Yes. I will just lock myself up in my room and try to keep myself busy," she nodded her head.

"Busy doing what?" She asked. I thought that she understood what I was saying!

"I don't know, maybe reading novels or watching a movie while eating snacks," I said since I was not sure of what to tell her.

After we finished, she paid the bills and walked back to the car. She drove me back home and I was so grateful. All that time I was looking outside the window. Many
