“Where are we going?” I whispered fiercely under my breath as Damien tugged me into the lobby of an expensive-looking apartment building.

Did I also mention that the entrance was heavily guarded by security men?

“Somewhere,” he answered vaguely.

This has been his answer since he had tugged me out of the office and practically bundled me into his car.

I scowled at him and flexed my hand which was tightly grasped by him. “I would appreciate it if you answer my question without any—”

“I live here,” he announced and I was sure my eyes bulged in their sockets.

“You… what?” I stuttered, incredibly shocked.

He chuckled. “And the last time I checked, I own the building as well.”

“Wow,” I breathed and fed my eyes with the luxurious appearance of the lobby. It was tastefully furnished without being overly opulent.

The interior decorator must have worked really hard to be able to keep it balanced.
