Chapter 114. Late Night at Alison Hall
"You should go back home, Chloe." When I look up from my work to see what’s going on, Adrian is standing over me.
"I will, but I need to finish my sentence first." I smile.
The Early Modern department, where I’ve been working on this project for a while, is one of the few places at Northwestern that has a microform reader.
Our group isn’t very big. Doctor Elliot and his Master’s student Alyssa are in charge of the project. Then there are five people like me who help. We all went to good schools and were picked to help. Bianca from Harvard, Miles from Stanford, Adrian and Pike, both from Northwestern, and I were all there.
A good mix of people most of the time. Doctor Elliot said that he wanted many different kinds of people to help with this project. We all studied Early Modern Studies, History, or Anthropology, but we all came from different places and lived different lives.
