Today has to be perfect.

I have been so busy getting ready for this day over the past few weeks, and it has to happen tonight or she will start to think something is wrong.

Chloe gets her master’s degree today, and I have never been prouder of her. She has a big brain, and every time I see her, she is reading or doing study. I think the stack of library books in the corner of our office will never get smaller.

She has applied to PhD schools all over the country, but I think she will stay at Brown. Which is fine with me because I do not want anything to change in our lives.

Well, there is one thing I would like to change, and I hope today is the right day to do it.
