Chapter 76. Flight Anxiety

Even though the trip was short, I did nothing but listen to music. I told Nash it was okay for him to get up and go to the bathroom about halfway through. He didn’t seem to believe that the sign said "no seatbelt."

When he got back, the plane was about to land, so he had to start getting ready all over again in his mind. He was probably antsy because he’d had a lot of coffee before the trip. Even though the Gravol didn’t agree with my stomach, it worked.

Then, as we started to go down, he grabbed my hand again and looked so tense I couldn’t believe it.

As the plane moved toward our gate after we arrived, he gasped for air and took big gulps.

"You did it." I say as I put my hand on his shoulder. "Here we are."

"Thanks to God." So I can get my bag, I let go of his hand while he takes a breath.
