Chapter 139. A Fever Dream?

Why was I in a hospital? Was I dreaming? Was this a fever dream? 

I won’t lie, I was very confused. I proceeded to sit up in the bed and look around. The room was empty; no one was in there with me. I coughed a bit, and it hurt to do so, but the pain vanished as fast as it came. 

I stared at my wrist, and I saw that there was an IV line connected to it. What had happened? Had I been in an accident? I could remember the last thing before falling asleep, and that was me in the backseat of the car that Darco was driving. 

Were we in an accident? I proceeded to take a look at myself, and besides the numb pain all over my body, I could not seem to find anything that was wrong. I had no cuts, no bruises, and no wounds.
