Chapter 141. Discharged

The full moon was my deadline—the moment I had told Darco and his elders that I was going to shift into my wolf. It was a lie, of course, and it was one that was recommended by my wolf, Aria.

She had said that it was the best thing that I could do at that moment to buy me some time. I did it and it worked but now I was just worried. The time was getting really close and I did not know what I was going to do.

It was already said that the kind of wolf I had was the kind that sometimes would take years to be manifested. So how I was supposed to do that in just a few days?

The kind of anxiety that I had was eating me alive. I hated it, but I knew that I had no real choice but to make my bed with it.

Darco adjusted on the edge of the bed and I peeled my eyes from the window, my heart dropping. “I–”

“I hope you were right about your wolf coming out on the full moon,” He replied. He had a look in his eyes that was warning me quietly.
