Chapter 45. Standing up

It was the next day and no one had talked about whether I was leaving or staying. Not even me. It felt like a taboo topic, even for me. 

Zach did come back yesterday, but he came back very late. And…he was drunk. I hated that he was like that but I had no right to judge someone in any way, especially someone who had been a major help to me. 

Now, it was morning and we were in the back of a small van. It was Zach, Vanessa, Beta Mark, the driver, and me. We were headed to the chambers of the Elders. 

Apparently, they had heard about what had happened yesterday with Zach. And the funny thing was that it was the Alpha that had called them. Then they started calling others to get a full story, like Vanessa, and Beta Mark.
