Chapter 64. Need a Ride Home?

Vanessa groaned as she made her way inside the school. She could not believe she had left her phone on the chair before going to speak with that Bianca girl and Zoe did not even pick it up for her.

She walked quickly with a frown and when she got to the basketball court, her legs went slow.

The door was slightly open, so Vanessa could see the two young girls sitting on the bench inside, just beside the basketball court where players who did not play had sat.

She scoffed and was about to barge in when her eyes glanced at Kaylee again and she realized what was happening.

Kaylee was crying. Vanessa was sure she had just seen a tear fall from her eyes right now.

Vanessa quickly took a step back and relied on her listening sense only. She could not risk them seeing her and she had to know what was happening. It could be her perfect comeback at Kaylee.
