Chapter 21. Join Them

Lord Vince’s laughter echoed through the room like thunder.

I cursed beneath my breath.

How will I get away with this one?

The two men were speechless. Even Aria looked dumbfounded at my audacity.

Finally, Lord Vince stopped laughing.

He stepped closer to me. I fought the urge to step back.

“You…” he said, eyes twinkling with amusement. “You’ve got guts, Titan. I’ll give you that.”

I lowered my head.

“I didn't mean to disrespect you, sir.”

He chuckled and turned to Aria, who was glaring at me like I had just denied her a chance at pleasure.

Well, literally.

“She’s still healing, you say?” Vince murmured. “You think I don’t know my kitten’s limits?”

“No, sir,” I replied quickly. “I just… I thought—”

“You thought?” he cut in. “That’s a dangerous habit around here, Titan.”

I swallowed tightly and kept my head bowed.

He crouched beside Aria again and tilted her chin up gently
