Chapter 60
It was almost dawn when Noah brought the car to a stop at the end of 34th Avenue and 3rd Street. He shifted his gaze to the street lined with houses most of which were empty. He knew this was where Cathy and Ginny were.
“How do you know we are in the right place?”
“Because I know him too well, he won’t take them anywhere else.”
“I don’t know if I can trust this guy,” Asher leaned in to whisper to Lance who sat beside him in the car.
Lance nodded before realizing it was Asher who has spoken to him and he turned his head to the other man. “I don’t trust you!”
Asher frowned. “I don’t trust you either.”
“Rather than catch up on the lack of mistrust in this dysfunctional group, why don’t we test if my theory is correct?” Noah asked as he glared at both men through the rearview mirror.
