Both men were whispering her name over and over like a prayer, trying to convince themselves that she was really there as they hugged her so close that she couldn’t take a breath. But she was happy to see them. Even after the reservations she had against Lance while going back in history, she was glad to see that he was alive but both men were injured even though most of their injuries were healed. She could tell by the heavy smell of blood and her sensitive ears picked out the meshing of tissues and flesh as they healed.

“Where have you boys been?” She asked, still crushed between their powerful arms.

“We were just about to break the walls of Ezekiel’s hideout and fight for you.”

They didn’t want to let her go and Maggie was beginning to feel self-conscious because Chase and shifted back to human form and was laughing at them, Noah and Jayden were staring with hidden smiles and Cathy wore a huge frown.
