Chapter 105. I'll Do It for You
DEAN
When Lena said she felt pain in her belly, I got scared. The first thing that crossed my mind was my kids. Her pregnancy was risky, and Lena was constantly under stress. It was my fault. I couldn't stop feeling guilty about everything.
I desperately asked for help. I feared for my kids' lives.
Lena's psychiatrist entered the room, looking concerned. She watched the nurses working for Lena's well-being. She asked what was happening. Lena kept writhing in pain.
"She's complaining of pain. Lena thinks she might be having a miscarriage. We need to take her to the hospital right away!" I warned anxiously. My heart kept pounding. I couldn't believe Lena was going through this.
The terror in Lena's eyes was something I had never seen before. I had never seen her in so much pain.
"What?" the psychiatrist asked. "No, she was fine. She was calm. She must be pretending," she assumed.
