After nearly an hour, I decided to leave. Jake was waiting for me at home. He knew I was with Dean, but had no idea I stayed at his brother's house. If Jake found out, he would know what happened between us in the room. I still didn't know how I would tell him about Dean and me. Even though he broke up with me and encouraged me to be with Dean, I knew Jake would suffer. I broke up with Jake yesterday, and today I already had a new relationship.

But I wasn't leaving Dean's house because of that. I was leaving because I felt uncomfortable, and alone. The room wasn't the same one where Dean and Carla had been together, but the house was the same. I didn't feel this way when I was with Dean, but the solitude got to me. I needed Dean to be with me. I would have preferred going with him to the hospital and staying in bed. Insecurities about Carla were tormenting my mind and heart, like daggers.
