Chapter 160. Drawn Lines
The moment the words slipped out of my mouth, a wave of regret crashed over me. My eyes remained fixed on Keira’s face, and I watched as she froze up, her face twisting into a mixture of hurt, pain and everything in between.
“Fuck,” I cursed as I ran my hands through my hair.
Keira scoffed as her eyes trailed to the floor. I swallowed, my hands reaching out to grab her arm, attempting to pull her to my side. Keira recoiled instantly, taking a step back as her eyes shot me daggers.
Yet, beneath the glare, I could see the hurt and pain in her eyes. Hurt and pain that I had caused.
Fuck.
“Keira, please, I didn’t mean that...”
“It’s none of my business, is it, Clint?”
Keira took a few more steps back, her eyes meeting mine for a brief second before she stormed out of the room. Running both hands through my messy hair, I sank into the bed. Frustration courses through my whole being like a shockwave.
