Chapter 71. Bonding

Keira’s POV

Clint and I stayed in each other’s arms for a while until he finally pulled away. He looked at me and let out a long sigh.

“I know finding a private investigator will be difficult for you, so let me take care of that instead.”

My eyes went wide. “But you don't have to do that. I can find one myself, Clint,” I insisted, trying to convince him.

Clint shook his head, looking adamant. “Let me do this one thing for you, Keira. Please.”

I bit my lip and exhaled. “Okay. Thank you,” I replied, feeling a massive weight lift off my shoulders. My chest felt lighter, and a genuine sense of relief washed over me.

I looked at Clint and noticed a certain glint in his eyes that made me raise an eyebrow. What was he thinking?
