Chapter 81. Didn’t Disappoint

KEIRA’s POV

I gazed out of the window of Clint's car, feeling a bit wistful. The car ride was slow, and none of us said a word to each other. The silence that hung above us, however, was not an uncomfortable one. It was quite soothing, and I did not mind that Clint had not said a word to me.

The car came to a stop in front of the traffic light, and my eyes drifted away from the windows and towards Clint. To my surprise, his gaze was on me too. He had a hint of mischief in his eyes, and the corner of his lips was curled up into a smirk.

"So," he spoke up. "I am dropping you off at your father's place?"

"Or," he cut me short and slid his hands over my thighs. "You could come with me to my place," he smiled.
