Chapter 81. Didn’t Disappoint
Keira’s POV
I gazed out of the window of Clint’s car, feeling a bit wistful. The car ride was slow, and none of us said a word to each other. The silence that hung above us, however, was not an uncomfortable one. It was quite soothing, and I did not mind that Clint had not said a word to me.
The car came to a stop in front of the traffic light, and my eyes drifted away from the windows and towards Clint. To my surprise, his gaze was on me too. He had a hint of mischief in his eyes, and the corner of his lips was curled up into a smirk.
“So,” he spoke up. “I am dropping you off at your father’s place?”
“Well, yes, that is where I am g-”
“Or,” he cut me short and slid his hands over my thighs. “You could come with me to my place,” he smiled.
