Chapter 98

My mind was racing. I stumbled through the corridors of the Agency with no idea where I was going.

I just needed to go somewhere.

Get out.

Somehow I found a door that led outside and I leaned against a brick wall as I puked up my stomach. I gasped and wiped my mouth.

"God," I groaned.

"Daisy."

I felt arms support me as I stumbled and I looked up at Jasper. "I'm fine—"

"I heard," Jasper said. "I was listening."

I swallowed and I felt tears in my eyes. "It's his fault I was r-r—" I choked on my words. "He's the fucking reason I died! The fucking bastard! I'm going to kill him. I'm going to fucking destroy him. I'm—"

"Daisy, you need to stop talking. I think you're in shock," Jasper said and placed his hands on either side of my face and tilted my head up to look at him. "I know this is the last thing you want to hear, but you need to fucking calm down."
