Leo walked into the visiting room looking leaner than he had ever done. He sat opposite a sad looking Isla. She'd tried to get him bail pending the conclusion of the trial, but he'd declined. He wasn't ready to return to the mansion. The same place Lionel had lost his life. Tomorrow was the final day of the trial.

“How are you feeling?” Isla said.

“Same. Miserable. Anything on Emma yet?”

She shook her head in response. He saw so many emotions in her eyes. Some, he knew. Others, he didn’t understand.

“How was your play?” he said.

“So, he had told him that she had taken up acting in a local theater. It made him think of Emma and how she had always wanted to be an actress.”
