Startled by her sudden arrival, it took a while for Veronica and Blake to act normal on the surface. Veronica stood up from the bed first, discreetly unclasped her fist from Blake's tight hold, and explained nervously even though she knew that Victoria wouldn't respond to anything,

" Sis..I..I was bandaging my Brother-in-law's wound. When did you get up? Do you need something?"

Veronica tried her best to smoothen the atmosphere. She didn't want her sister to know on the very first day of their arrival that she had hooked up with Blake during her absence.
