Chapter 139. Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a day when families are supposed to be together, and Jessie will be spending Thanksgiving with her family for the first time in years. Families were invited to the Cooper's mansion to celebrate, and Jessie extended an invitation to her mother so she could meet Din's family in person. Williams and Taylor were also not an exception. 

Din met with Mr. Walker two weeks ago, and he bought the home that Jessie's mother was residing in. He had threatened to have Jessie's father arrested if he entered Los Angeles to try to take advantage of Jessie and her family once more. 

Following that, Cedric was pleased to see that the house was once again packed with people. This time, the crowd was twice as large as it was the previous Thanksgiving. 

"Come on, Mom. Don't be shy." As Jessie accompanied her mother to meet Cedric and his family, she placed a hand on her shoulder. 

"I don't feel shy. I just feel like I shouldn't be here." <
